VW #VIVOnation was created by One-eyed Jack and Mushroom Productions to launch the new Polo Vivo. Fresh and exciting, the campaign elements included marketing, media partner procurement, scriptwriting, media buying, design, activations, PR, artist liaison, influencer management, and production. The idea? Join the VW #VIVOnation to get tickets to a two-day, free-entry music and lifestyle festival of experiences comprising music, street art, fashion, food, new connections and – of course – the new Polo Vivo. The venue: a shipping container yard in New Doornfontein, Johannesburg. Hundreds of containers were repurposed to create a grungy, edgy space, which was brought to life with video mapping, projections, car displays, and world-class technology. As Polo Vivo is a uniquely South African car, the team chose not to book an international act but to invest in our local talent to book the hottest line-up from around the country,: Casper Nyovest, Kwesta, Black Motion, Babes Wodumo (ft. Mampintsha and Ntando Duma), The Kiffness (ft. Mathew Gold), Shekhinah, TIMO ODV, Lady Zamar, DJ Doowap, Breeze and Kyle Deutsch.
