INTERNATIONAL SPIRIT OF AMAROK 2019

The International Spirit of Amarok is the only amateur 4x4 championship with international status. From behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Amarok, qualifying teams from nine international countries go head-to-head to determine who are the top amateur off-road precision driving champions. Through a competitive selection process, off-roading enthusiasts are chosen to represent their country at this premier international final. Competitors test their mettle on a course designed by rally and track racing legend, Sarel van der Merwe, in the only 100% German-engineered bakkie: the Volkswagen Amarok. One-eyed Jack was awarded the opportunity as event management company for the 2019 event, hosted at Amanzi Game Lodge in the Free State. Over four days of competition, the production of the event, hosting experience, travel, guest logistics and leisure activities were managed by One-eyed Jack. Leisure experiences for the contestants included an exclusive braai-master experience with Justin Bonello, a boutique barber experience, a game drive, stargazing and more. Menus were curated in conjunction with the lodge chef to showcase some of SA's unique flavours.
