KASI MARKETING LAB

The DStv Content Creator Awards created a special award, the Kasi Content Creator Award, to help celebrate up and coming content creators, influencers and marketers from the township and rural areas of South Africa (SA). As part of the award and a way to grow content creation within the township and rural areas of SA, The DStv Content Creator Awards hosted a learning day, the Kasi Marketing Lab, which was held in Khayelitsha and streamed via TikTok Live throughout the country, discussing with township and rural content creators, influencers and marketers, the roadblocks they faced in content creation. The lab also imparted tips, tricks, insights on how to come up with the big idea, how to PR yourself, build your own brand and shared ways of working with brands when it comes to the monetising of their content. The Kasi Marketing Lab took place on Monday, 23 May 2022 at the Isivivana Centre in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.
