Volkswagen SA commissioned One-eyed Jack and Mushroom Productions to produce the brand’s first-ever digital premiere on 17 June, to launch the new T-Roc to SA media, dealers and consumers. The premiere had to be innovative, tech-driven and heavily focused on VR and virtual content experiences. We came up with the concept of turning the premiere into a slick and sophisticated lifestyle feature segment; Top Billings meets eNCA. Media, dealers and the general public got a first view of the beautiful new T-Roc, anchored by a motoring journalist (Jacob Moshokoa) and presented by VW’s own Martina Biene (Head of the Volkswagen Brand) and Gina Handley (Product Marketing Manager). This format allowed us to package all the content (live stream, VR, graphics) into a newsy segment that made for fun and engaging viewing.
